Indian Sculpture - The arts have a unique and long historical heritage.  India is world famous for its rich cultural heritage of art and architecture.  Starting from ancient times. Stupas and column inscriptions during Maurya era in different provinces during different periods, construction in Gandhara and Mathura style during Anumurya era, construction of palaces, stupas, pillars, monasteries, buildings and temples during Gupta period.  Happened.  During the Middle Ages, there were a large number of structures built by Pal, Pratihar, Rashtrakuta, Rajput, Delhi Sultanate and various places built by the Mughal Empire such as Vav, lakes, temples and mosques.  


Different provinces of India have developed inherited architecture in their own way.  Sculpture: The art of chiseling the prices awakened in the mind of the sculptor with a hammer on stone, wood, metal.  Architecture: The word 'Shilpashastra' is also used for architecture.  Architecture simply means construction.  Architecture is the construction of houses, towns, wells, forts, minarets, temples, mosques, tombs, vavs, etc. 

A person who is proficient in architecture is called 'Apati'.  700s  There was a Rajput era till 1200.  The Rajput-era architecture of the temple became popular in northern India, including the temples of Khajuraho, the Lingaraj temple of Puri and the Gopa temple of Saurashtra.  The period of the Delhi Sultanate saw a new style of architecture associated with Islam.  In which the Arab style is predominant in the beginning.  

The three main structures in this architecture are the mosque, the tomb and the Rija.  Among the Delhi architectures are Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, Hoj-e-Khas, Alai Darwaza, Siri Fort.  The mosques and canals built by Feroz Tughlaq are special.  The Muslim rulers of Gujarat, Bengal and Malwa built many structures during this time.  In which Bhadra Fort of Ahmedabad and Jama Masjid, Sona Masjid of Bengal are important.  Among the Hindu architectures of the time, the fort of Kumbhalgarh built by Rana Kumbha and the monument or victory pillar of Chitod are important, the pillar of victory is the Sun Temple of Konark of 13th century and the temple of Houshaleshwar in Karnataka.  Konark Sun Temple is located near the Bay of Bengal in Puri district of Odisha state.  The temple was built in the 13th century during the reign of King Narasimhavarman I of the Ganges dynasty.

Mughal architecture was very special.  A special example of Mughal architecture can be seen in Humayun's tomb, where Akbar built the fort of Agra and the fort of Fatehpur Sikra.  The tomb of Sher Shah Sasaram is an important architecture of this time.  The Mughals started a whole tradition of gardens, including Nishatbagh in Kashmir, Shalimar Bagh in Lahore and Arambagh in Agra.
