The highest peak of Mughal architecture can be seen in the Taj Mahal of Agra built by Shah Jahan. Agra Fort in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, one of the Seven Wonders of the World The Taj Mahal on the banks of the Yamuna River was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his Begum Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal glorifies the architectural heritage of India and is becoming a center of attraction for tourists from home and abroad, in addition to the Delhi-based Red Fort built by Shah Jahan. In this fort made of red stones, beautiful buildings like Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas, Rangmahal were built. Its decoration is a wonderful combination of gold, silver, precious stones.
It was in this fort that Shah Jahan built the artistic Mayurasana. The flag salute is held from this red fort on 15th August and 26th January every year. Gujarat Architecture During the Solanki rule and Sultanate of Gujarat, a very high standard of architecture was constructed. Solanki architecture includes the renovation of the Somnath temple by Bhimdev in the 11th century and the Sun Temple at Modhera. Somnath was a very ancient, rich and important center of Shaivism. Today only the location of the Purana temple can be seen. The new temple was last built in 1951. Somnath is one of the 12 most sacred Jyotirlingas in India. Junagadh city has a fort of Uparkot. The original name of the upper coat was Giridurg. Ra'khengar provided water facility by constructing Adi-Kadi Vav and Navghan wells in it. There is a saying, ‘Adi-kadi vav and navghan kuvo jheno joyo te jivato moo’,
