Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary (the "Gir Forest" or "also known as Sasan-Gir") is a forest and wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat. Established in 1965, total area of 1412 sq.km. The park is about 43 km from Veraval It lies to the north-east.
